Rijnmond Air Services (RAS) has been appointed by Pratt & Whitney Canada as one of the first European Designated Maintenance Facilities and Premium Service Provider for both PT6A and PW500 series engines.
The engines from the P&WC rental engine pool enter the shop where they will undergo a thorough PRI (Post Rental Inspection) to evaluate and prepare the engine for the next customer. RAS performs these inspections on a regular basis for both the rental pool of PW500 series and PT6A series engines.
For the PT6A RAS also offers on-wing HSI and fuel nozzle servicing and the HSI’s are not limited to RAS home base in Rotterdam but a MRT can be deployed to travel anywhere in the world with the full support of P&WC. As the (AOG) field support services of RAS are already well known with many operators in Europe, RAS is very happy to now being able to add these engine services to their support package besides the line maintenance services and boroscoping.
Recently also the brand new PT6E-67XP was added to the approved scope of RAS’ EASA/FAA approval.
